I can’t listen to the keys in this song without thinking of Stranger Things . . .
“Talisman” is the latest groovy, retro, pop/rock-ish track with a transcendent outro from indie rock band Club of Suns. Matt was on the synth again for this one and we stuck with the electronic vibe for the drums and ambient stuff. The result is a song that you would put on after the dinner music and before the house music. Some folks will stay seated and bob their heads to the beat and some will get up and dance.

Talisman

Nothing’s gonna stop my hands from shaking
See an eagle on an island, I’ll know I’m home
Nothing’s gonna stop heart from racing
When I drink from the water and time stops raging on

No silver on my eyes
Or tributes on my stone
The air inside my lungs is gone
But I know I’m coming home
Coming home

God marked my bones and He turned them all to stone
So He can see me in a crowd when I am most alone
And nothing’s gonna stop heart from racing
When I drink from the water and time stops raging on

No silver on my eyes
Or tributes on my stone
The air inside my lungs is gone
But I know I’m coming home
Coming home . . .
