According to the info on YouTube, this was the first L@TC video published June 5, 2011. Beginner’s luck! Great band and a very catchy song.
I’d been meaning to speak to Chris all year to discuss doing some more work together and called him when I got the reminder to post this song. We have a plan to do a songwriting video and some new music for Songsmiths
I don’t have as much time as I would like to dedicate to Songsmiths. That’s one of the reasons I love working with Chris. We get a few (literally three) hours a week to work together, but man is that time productive.
AirZen is another original song from yours truly (see Ep2 for the first original I posted). It’s funky, rocky and strange. The words are based on thoughts I used to have
Well done, Katleho. Your passion makes for a good performance and I like the lyrics. I would like to have heard something more happening in the instrumental spaces though. Something has to take over from the lead vocal there. The pianist could lay back more (maybe a lot more) while you’re singing, then shine in […]
Izak has a great feel for music. Part of that is having good rhythm and timing, but it’s also how you interpret the music. I see it in his audition and I’ve seen it when he’s playing bass for Club of Suns. Thanks for coming through Izak. Audition recorded at The Cooler.
You have loads of potential Gerrie, I just think that you need to enunciate your vocals better. Find a balance between the tone you’re after and the vocal sounding natural. Check the video on YouTube for my full commentary. Gerrie studies at COPA Music School. Audition recorded at The Cooler recording studio.
I love the tone of your voice and you use it well. Given the dark theme, I think the song should have a hard rock edge and the vivid imagery would lend itself well to a movie or tv soundtrack.
